1. Free consultation
At Oculus eye clinics , we offer a free, no-obligation pre-operative consultation that allows us to check your initial suitability for permanent laser vision correction.
This consultation will also allow you to express your expectations and your concerns about your future laser vision correction.
You are likely to be suitable for permanent vision correction if:
- You are over 20 years old.
- Your eyesight has been stable for more than a year.
- Your myopia is less than 8 Dioptres.
- Your astigmatism is less than 6 Dioptres.
- Your hyperopia is less than 4 Dioptres.
2. Comprehensive Laser aptitude test
- Understand why you are choosing laser vision correction (Femtolasik, TransPRK..) in order to offer you a customized solution.
- Precisely identify the visual problems (myopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, etc.) to be eliminated with laser surgery
- Check for any possible contraindications to laser vision correction.
- Identify which technique is best suited to your vision problem.
- Provide the information you need to make decisions and answer your questions.

Full Examination
The various anatomical elements of the eye (cornea, crystalline lens, retina, etc.) will be examined....) that make it possible to choose one procedure over another.

The Tests
Eye tests, an analysis of the thickness and shape of the cornea, and a microscopic examination of the eye after dilating the pupil with drops.

Completely painless
We recommend stopping wearing contact lenses 3 days before the test, and not to drive in the hours following the examination, as the pupil will dilate.

3. Permanent vision corrections
Femtolasik
Femtolasik laser vision correction is the most widely used technique worldwide to treat various sight problems (myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism) alone or in combination, with a patient satisfaction rate of over 95%.
Femtolasik is a fast, precise and painless technique. It is highly effective in eliminating your dependence on glasses or contact lenses, giving you a better quality of life.
TransPRK
A fast and precise technique, transepithelial PRK refractive surgery is performed with an excimer laser, which removes the outermost layer of the cornea.
The same excimer laser modifies the surface of the cornea to compensate for visual defects such as myopia and astigmatism in a similar way to the Excimer laser treatment part of Lasik.
- At Oculus centers, transepithelial PRK refractive surgery is performed using an excimer laser.
- It quickly and precisely removes the outermost layer of the cornea, called the epithelium, without instruments, chemicals or suction.
- The same Excimer laser modifies the surface of the cornea to compensate for visual defects such as myopia and astigmatism in a similar way to the Excimer laser treatment part of LASIK.

Intraocular lenses
In the case of severe myopia or a cornea that is too thin for laser vision correction, an ICL lens can be implanted behind the iris, which can correct myopia up to -14 Dioptres. ICLs are made from biocompatible material, ensuring excellent vision quality.
Frequently asked questions
Our OCULUS eye clinics dedicated to laser eye surgery offer the Femtolasik laser correction method:
- Is totally painless , as the surface of the eye is not altered, unlike surface techniques (PKR and Trans-PKR).
- Enables rapid recovery of vision (as early as the next day), unlike other techniques.
- Reduces the risk of complications as the entire treatment is carried out by laser.
OCULUS eye clinics offer you the Femtolasik treatment at the preferential rate of 1780-., including surgery and post-operative check-ups for 12 months.
The operation takes 10-15 minutes per eye , including setting up the operating field and aligning the Femtosecond Lasik. Treatment time (laser delivery) is just a few seconds.
No, as anaesthetic drops will be instilled in the minutes preceding the operation.
Most patients can return to work the very next day, except for occupations requiring very sharp vision (pilots, surgeons…) , which may require one or two days off work.
